Julia Landauer to Race in the NASCAR Limited Late Model Series at Motor Mile Speedway
Mooresville, NC (April 30, 2015) – Julia Landauer has announced that she will be racing in the NASCAR Limited Late Model Series at Motor Mile Speedway in Radford, VA for the 2015 season. Landauer will be racing in the 7-race track championship for Lee Pulliam Performance out of Alton, Virginia.
“I’m really excited to be getting back into a full-body stock car for 2015!” Landauer, who will be piloting the #70 Girls Who Code car exclaimed. “After sharpening my skills in Legends for the past few years, this is a great next step for my career. I’m also looking forward to working with and learning from Lee Pulliam and his team.”
Lee Pulliam, who is a multiple-time champion, has been setting up racecars in the Virginia and North Carolina area for several years. He provided the racecar that Chase Elliott drove in the Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown at South Boston Speedway on April 23, 2015.
“We’re excited to help Julia and work with her to go for a points championship,” Pulliam said. “She’s proven that she can wheel a car and it should be a good season.”
For her racing program, Landauer will also be supporting the national organization Girls Who Code, which is headquartered in New York City. “I’m really proud to be collaborating with Girls Who Code and bringing exposure to a great organization that supports women and girls in STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Math]. It’s a very important initiative that I’m a dedicated and strong advocate for.”
Landauer and Pulliam will be preparing the racecar for the first race of the season, which is on May 2, 2015. The full Saturday night racing schedule is:
