A Much Needed Update On #TeamJulia’s 2017 Season

Wed Aug 30 2017

Hi there?

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve written to you, and I hope you’ll forgive me.

I’m THRILLED to report that after a rough season so far (2017 has seen a lot of mechanical failures and bad luck) we finally got our first top-5 finish, with 5th place last Saturday at Douglas County Speedway in Roseburg, OR. It was a hard-fought race, with the last 79 laps run under green flag (meaning we ran them straight, there were no cautions/breaks). It was fun to race hard all the way to the end of the race and it built great momentum going into the last three races of the season. The race from Douglas County Speedway will air on NBCSN, Saturday, Sept. 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Off the track we’ve been doing pretty well? Here’s a quick update on some of the stuff I’ve been up to:

– Bloomberg Businessweek just released a profile on my racing career – I collaborated with Disney/Pixar and Cars 3 on an inspirational video – Entrepreneur Magazine interviewed me on my racing, business approach, and being a “solopreneur” – Spotify reached out to collaborate with me on a playlist for Women’s History Month

There are a little less than 5 weeks until my next race in Meridian, ID (where I got my 2nd place last year). I’m really excited to go back there and hopefully improve on last year’s result. In the meantime, I’ll be doing a bit of work-related travel and hustling to get next year lined up.

Thank you so much for your continued support. I’ll be back in touch soon 🙂
