Tue Apr 11 2017

(Charlotte, NC) – NASCAR K&N Pro Series West regular Julia Landauer has announced that she will race at Bristol Motor Speedway and New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, piloting the #88 One Love Foundation Ford Fusion for GCR.

“Racing with GCR at Bristol and New Hampshire is a great opportunity to gain experience with a top-notch team on two tracks that I will race on later in my career,” Landauer said. “I’m also really pleased to announce my partnership with the One Love Foundation, whose mission is to change the statistics around relationship abuse by educating young people about the difference between healthy and unhealthy relationships. I’m grateful that I can use my platform to help educate more young people on the issue, leading to healthier and safer lives.”

Landauer and her One Love/GCR team will debut at Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 and race again at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 15th, 2017. The television schedule will be announced at a later date.

“We are very excited to have Julia piloting our car for these two great events, we hope that our partnership with her and the One Love Foundation will provide winning results on and off the track” said Troy Cline, GCR Owner.

The One Love Foundation’s partnership with Landauer marks their first major collaboration with an athlete, as well as their first experience in NASCAR.

“We are thrilled Julia has decided to use her platform to encourage more young people to join our movement to end relationship abuse and help build healthier communities,” said Katie Hood, One Love’s CEO. “She intuitively understands that if each person does one thing to help bring this issue into the light that the collective progress on this issue will be enormous.”

Landauer scored two podiums, seven top-5s, and 13 top-10s in the 2016 K&N Pro Series West season. She finished 4th in the championship standings, the highest for a female in the series’ 62-year history. Landauer is also a member of the 2016-2017 NASCAR Next class, and was recently named to the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 list for sports.
